Starting out
Do I need technical or coding experience?
No. AI Essentials, Prompt Like a Pro, and AI at Work assume no coding experience. Intermediate courses clearly describe the skills that help before you begin.
Which AI tool do I need?
The foundations work with a free mainstream AI assistant. Tool Labs name the product they teach, and some features may require an eligible account or paid plan. Third-party subscriptions are not included in CoursinAI pricing.
Where should I begin?
If you are unsure, start with the free AI Essentials course. It gives you the mental model, prompting structure, privacy habits, and verification checklist used throughout the platform.
Courses and progress
How long are lessons and courses?
Most lessons take 15 to 25 minutes including practice. Complete courses range from about 1 hour 45 minutes to 4 hours, and you can stop between lessons.
Are these video courses?
CoursinAI is designed as an active, card-based learning experience. Lessons combine concise explanation, a guided activity, a copyable workbench template, a quality checklist, and a project deliverable.
Can I learn at my own pace?
Yes. Your learner dashboard records progress. You can return to lessons and resources throughout the access period attached to your course or Skill Pass.
How do knowledge checks work?
Each course ends with a four-question knowledge check. A score of 75% is required to pass, and you can review the answers and try again.
Plans and access
What is included in Skill Pass?
Skill Pass unlocks all current courses, projects, quizzes, curriculum updates, and new courses released while the pass is active.
What happens if I cancel Skill Pass?
Cancellation stops future renewal. Your access continues until the end of the billing period already paid for. Courses bought individually remain available under their lifetime-access terms.
Can I buy only one course?
Yes. Paid courses are available as one-time purchases from $29 to $79. A one-course purchase includes the complete course, project, quiz, reusable workbench templates, and future updates to that course.
What is the refund policy?
Eligibility depends on when you purchased and how much of the course was completed. The complete rules are published on the Refund Policy page, and mandatory consumer rights still apply.
Responsible learning
Will these courses make AI outputs completely reliable?
No course or tool can make every AI output correct. CoursinAI teaches risk-based verification, source checks, privacy controls, human approval, and clear handoffs so you can use AI more responsibly.
Can I submit confidential work material?
Only use information you are authorized to process in a tool approved for that data. Lessons teach minimization and sanitization, but your employer, client, and applicable rules determine what is permitted.
